Bachatify: Bristol's bachata academy's Bachata Lessons are run on Tuesdays at the Southbank Club in Bristol, we have 4 levels of classes ranging from absolute beginner to intermediate.
Tuesdays are generally accepted as being the worst day of the week, joining a Bachata class that is focused on your growth and learning will fix that. True happiness comes from growth, learning and mastery in a community. We use our Bachata classes to give you a sense of development.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗮?
Bachata is a Latin dance originating in the Dominican Republic and can be danced as a higher energy partner dance (Traditional), incorporate movements from other dances like Salsa/Zouk (Moderna/Urban) or intimate (Sensual)
Our course will give you a strong foundation to move you forwards in predominantly Modern, Urban and Sensual styles.

1.The teachers will dance with everyone in the room within the class & socially so you are getting feedback to speed your development.
2.We run just 1 class in a room at a time, meaning you don't have to listen to another teacher trying to talk over your lesson.
3.We will provide you with annotated videos with guidance on how to perform each movement.

Charlie & Victoria make a super pair of dance teachers. It’s great having Charlie on hand to demonstrate the finer points of leading & Victoria to demonstrate the finer points of following. This means that whatever your bachata goals are, I’m sure they’ll be able to help you achieve them.
I can safely say that if they can teach this old dog some new tricks, then they’ll be able to teach anyone!

Bachatify: The Bristol Bachata Academy is run by Charlie.
Charlie has been teaching and promoting the Bristol Bachata and Salsa scene for 5 years, he started dancing almost 12 years ago and travels around Europe for the best festivals and teachers. Having previously been a drummer Charlie has a deep grasp of musicality and loves to help you find your own expression in the music and movement. As well as teaching on Tuesdays Charlie is one of the Lead teachers for the Monday Salsa Fix and a director of the Bristol Latin Project Limited.
Charlie has a particular passion for his Bachataify: Bristol Bachata classes and he's seen many students who have started with him turn up dancing in different countries and cities. This is one of the real benefits of taking Bachata lessons, the ability to travel and immediately make friends and have travel guides.
